In American and South African Apartheid the 'one drop' theory was used to enslave people.
The theory is stated in J.A. Rogers book "Sex and Race, Vol. III". page 227..
"We are told, too, that white blood is superior. but in the same breathe informed that one 'drop' of Negero ' blood makes a white man a Negro which is equivalent to saying that if a citizen has ninety-nine white ancestors and one black, that one drop cancels all that the whites have contributed."
What are your thoughts?

As we are all children of Africa, we are all "black." Some of us have more recent ancestry in other parts of the world, which accounts for our lighter skin colors and other minor differences. In the end, "race" is nonsensical at best, and a perverse yoke around our necks at worst.

There is no such thing as race. Why do we all pretend there is? Can we stop it by not declaring a race on forms or when asked? Wouldn't it be great if it were that easy?

Race is defined as a family, tribe, people, or nation belonging to the same stock. A class or kind of people unified by community of interests, habits, or characteristics.

In my opinion, race is a word used to prejudge. I dont consider myself STOCK. If race is a family, why not just say family? If race is a tribe, why not just say tribe? If we have the same interests, why not enjoy it without having to classify it? What "race" are you if you have several interests or habits in common with several different "races"?
